Work Responsibilities + Skills (Primary)

  • Review and study project drawings and specification, construction documents to develop Preliminary Schedules, Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Baseline Schedules, Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Progress Schedules, What-if Schedules, Time Impact Analysis, Forensic Planning & Scheduling, Schedule Delay Analysis, etc. as necessary considering the project / program requirements

  • Conceptualize, develop, monitor, and manage schedule logic for DEPC projects / program (Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

  • Develop Critical Path Method, and PERT (Program Evaluation & Review Technique) Schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis, and Oracle Primavera Unifier

  • Integrate, if required, the CPM/ PERT Schedule with the BIM (Building Information Model) for 4D Schedule Controls or 5D Schedule + Cost Controls

  • Carry out project / program Resource Planning, Resource Loading, and Resource Leveling. Develop Resource Loaded Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Schedules

  • Integrate the project / program budget by Cost Loading resources, and equipment. Develop Cost Loaded Design, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Schedules

  • Plan for integration of schedules of Project Components / Program Components in to an Integrated Master Schedule. Carry out maintenance and upgrade of the Integrated Master Schedule

  • Schedule Execution & Control – monitor progress of projects / programs against the established Design, Engineering & Construction Baseline Schedule

  • Monitor schedule deviations and impacts

  • Provide Schedule Delay Analysis of schedule deviations and impacts by using industry standard methods such as:

       (i)    Time Impact Analysis Method

       (ii)   Windows Analysis Method

       (iii)  Contemporaneous Period Analysis Method

       (iv)  Collapsed As-Built Analysis Method

       (v)   Impacted As-Planned Analysis Method

       (vi)  As-Planned vs As-Built Analysis Method

  • Experience in development of (preferably in implementation) of Recovery Schedules, Schedule Fragnets, What-if Scenario Schedules

  • Recommend mitigation strategy for schedule deviations and impacts

  • Execute as necessary the corrective actions, such as Schedule Acceleration, implementation of Recovery Schedule, Schedule Fragnets, etc. to mitigate the challenges arising due to schedule deviations and impacts

  • Prepare project / program progress reports including weekly / bi-weekly Look Ahead Schedules, monthly / bi-monthly Schedule Updates, and monthly / bi-monthly Qualitative Schedule Risk workshopsPrepare EVM (Earned Value Management) reports on parameters such as Estimates to Complete (Planned Value, Earned Value, Actual Cost, Budget at Completion, Estimate at Completion) and Performance Indices such as CPI (Cost Performance Index), SPI (Schedule Performance Index), TCPI (To Complete Performance Index)

  • Actively work with the Project Delivery team, organize project meetings and briefings, undertake site visits, field visits and meetings with stakeholders as necessary

Key Credentials

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Engineering & Management

 

Experience

  • 5+ Years of work experience specifically in construction planning & scheduling function in heavy engineering / construction environment

  • Extensive work experience with Oracle Primavera modules

  • Substantial experience in Buildings & High Rise sector (MEP, Civil, Architectural) is a plus

  • Experience of implementation / integration with other leading ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions a plus.

 

Additional Skills

  • Construction scheduling using BIM (Building Information Modeling) software such as AutoCAD NavisWorks, Synchro Pro, etc.

  • Contract Administration (working knowledge)
